This event brought many new mommy's for their first mommy and me event. We are always happy to welcome new people to the group.

We learned that blueberries are like people, they come in different sizes, but if they are blue they taste yummy no matter what the size. They are ripe for the pickin in May and June, and somehow just taste better when you get to pick them yourself!

The Fingerprint Museum in Hemet is a wonderful place for the child who is into pretend play. They have a grocery store, ambulance, police cars, Dinosaur bones, bank, Doctor's office, etc. for hands on play.

Fire Station Tour

Our last Mom's group outing took us to the fire station in Murrieta, where we got to see the inside of the fire department. The fireman showed us their kitchen, living room, and sleeping quarters and all the cool stuff on the fire truck. The fireman also put on all of his gear so we would know what he looked like, and wouldn't be afraid if one of his fireman friends came to our house in a fire.

Tuesday, October 14th we our headed to Pelzer's Pumkin Patch. Hope you can join us!

There is no cost for the movie, but it is first come first seated. Don't forget money for your movie snacks!

Dear Mommy-N-Me Moms,

We are excited to announce that Cornerstone Community Church will host Living Proof Live 2008 Simulcast featuring Beth Moore on Friday, August 1 and Saturday, August 2. Tickets go on sale this weekend and will sell fast! Be sure to stop by the Women’s Ministry kiosk to pick up your registration envelope.

We invite you to use this Simulcast event to reach lost and unchurched women in our area! I encourage you to invite at least one other woman in your life who does not know the Lord or is not involved in another local church to attend the Simulcast with you. Beth's message will speak straight to the heart of those women who are hurting, lost, and in need of hope, joy and the love of Christ.

This will also be a great opportunity for those of you who are Bible study leaders to meet with your group. Some groups are going to dinner beforehand and are making it a Girls’ Night out. It’s a great night of fellowship for your groups.

The date and time of this exciting event will be Friday, August 1 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, August 2 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Tickets for this two-day experience are $35 per person and include a light breakfast before the Saturday simulcast begins. Sorry, childcare will not be available for this event.

Hello Cornerstone Mommies & Me's ! If you're wondering if there's more tickets so have I.

I have just been informed that we are out of tickets for this Friday's Sesame Street Live at the San Diego Sports arena. However, if you have a ticket and can not make it, simply shoot Corie and email corie[underscore]quesada [at] verizon [dot] net (make sure you replace the words with the character) or contact Bridget 674-8661 ext. 1014 or email at blapointe [at] go2cornerstone [dot] com.

Or you can go to ticketmaster and buy the tickets online. I haven't checked if they have extra's but there may be information on the ticketmaster website.

Temecula Berry Co. on June 10, 2008. We had approximately 28 adults and 41 children attend the tour. What a great turnout! Everyone enjoyed picking the blueberries best! And boy are they yummy!!! What a great day!

***Tuesday, May 27, 9:30 - 11:30 AM, Dejong Dairy Farm (Wildomar) . The cost is $3.00 for age one and up. We will be taking a tour of the farm, observing baby calves being fed, and having fun in the petting zoo! Don't forget to pack a lunch as we will be having a picnic.

***Tuesday, June 10, 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Blueberry Farm Tour (Temecula). We will be touring the farm and the kids can pick a few yummy blueberries. There is no cost for this event. If you would like to purchase some of the blueberries, the cost is $5.00 per pint (you get to pick them yourself). Bring something to drink and a snack.

***Friday, June 27, 10:30 AM, Sesame Street Live, When Elmo Grows Up (San Diego Sports Arena). The tickets are available now!!! We have a limited amount so hurry and get yours! The cost is $10.00 for each individual over one year of age.

Today we were at DeJong Dairies in Wildomar. We fed the animals, took a tour of the cows, learned about milk and then ate lunch.

We learned that they raise their own cows and feed them the highest quality of livestock feed which means no hormones or yucky bad stuff. The milk tastes positively different! Mmm. Their chocolate milk is addicting!

Everything is done on site. If you're out of milk and are in the Mission Trail area of Bundy Canyon, stop by Dejong Farms and pick up a gallon or quart of milk. Support our local businesses!! Plus their milk is just gooood!

MOMMY-N-ME Cold Stone Creamery Tour
Join us on a tour of the Cold Stone Creamery in Murrieta and then lunch at Chick-fil-A. We will meet at the Cold Stone Creamery in Murrieta at 10:00 am. Cost of the tour is $3 per person and includes one free ice cream and a coupon for a free ice cream. After the tour, we'll go to Chick-fil-A for lunch and playtime. Today Mommy-N-Me met up at the Imagination workshop (AKA The Temecula Children's Museum) in Temecula. The kids had a great time while the Mommy's got some chat time with each other.

Today we met up at Jean's Ceramic World in Murrieta. It was soo fun! No wonder she couldn't wait to host her own church at her shop! Yep, Jean, her husband and daughters belong to our church family!

Not only did Jean give us a great deal today but she also took the time to help each one of us with our individual pieces.

Mason is enjoying the paint on his hands and wondering if Jeanne is gonna let him loose afterwards while his Mommy is patiently awaiting the outcome.

The exotic orchids and warm colors at Jean's place make it a soothing place to relax and be inspired to art. Jean even does molds of anything. Here is a piece Jean did of a child's hand. It's a candy dish! Isn't that darling, to say the least? And it's only $45!

I advise you to visit Jean's in Murrieta. This is my plug-in for her because it was a fun experience for everyone who attended today. Erianna and I can't wait to pick up our piece!

SC: I think not lowering the expectations on myself. I need to learn to let things go.

SC: I think just taking a moment to breathe. It is okay to put yourself on the list.

On November 6th, we met at Pump It Up for an amazing, bouncin’ fellowship. We were praising God for the large turn out! Yay!

As the kids bounced about, the Moms laughed and enjoyed just as much as they did!
We ended the morning with a great meal at Chick-fil-A.

Our Harvest Potluck was YUMO!

We met at the new Sports Park off Los Alamos. It’s one of those parks with the tot lot and the big kid playground. A perfect place for all the kids of any age in one family!

We ate El Pollo Loco, deviled eggs, chips, juice, granola bars and sugar cookies with lots and lots of icing!
Yep! We decorated sugar cookies (that Corie made- Sorry we didn’t use all 2 dozen that you baked =) ) and sprinkled them silly!

It was fun and delicious!

On September 11th, Mommy-N-Me met at the Ralphs off California Oaks in Murrieta.

We went behind the scenes and found out just how cold the fridges and freezers really are! No wonder they wear jackets despite the triple digit weather! We also found out that Ralphs grocery chains must sell all items and throw nothing away. So head on over to Ralphs and spend pennies for some breads, chips and whatever else is being given away!
Some of us stayed back to take advantage of the amazing savings!

Our tour was concluded with a goodie bag for all the kids. Inside was fruit treats, a toy ring and a sticker.
We then proceeded to Carls Jr for lunch!
